Zoë Kravitz will be directing her first feature film, Pussy Island, starring Channing Tatum.

Big Little Lies, X-Men, Divergent, and Batman star Zoë Kravitz will be stepping behind the camera for her directorial debut, Pussy Island.

A high-class thriller, Kravitz’s first feature film will follow main character Frida, a cocktail waitress living in Los Angeles, as she becomes immersed in a world of sophistication and glamour – with something a bit off bubbling beneath the surface. Co-written by Kravitz and ET Feigenbaum, Pussy Island will feature Channing Tatum in a key role.

Speaking on the film, Kravitz told Deadline: “As a woman in general, and a woman in this industry, I’ve experienced some pretty wild behavior from the opposite sex. The title was kind of a joke at first, this place where people would go, bring women, party, and hang out. The story evolved into something else, but the title wound up having multiple meanings. And it alludes to this time and place we claim to not be in anymore, in terms of sexual politics.”

With high intrigue from Kravitz and production in the works, we’re keeping our eyes peeled for a release date.
