We caught up with the new prince of pop to find out how he is staying his usual positive self amidst the craziness of the world today and what’s next for the talented JOEBOY.

Hi JOEBOY, how are you staying positive with everything going on at the minute?

It has been difficult staying at home, but I’m experimenting with my sound and music which, being creative, has made me happy.

Has your creative process changed a lot?

Yeah, it really has. There’s only really myself working on stuff, but actually being on social media has helped and getting different opinions from there.

How would you describe the journey you have been on so far?

It’s been really amazing, I have learned a lot, I have grown a lot. I’m really grateful for everything and I am just looking forward to the future.

What’s one of the highlights of your career so far?

There have been so many highlights… I don’t think I could name one. There are too many. I’d have to say travelling is always going to be one of the biggest highlights.

What are you most looking forward to?

Probably seeing all my friends and family again!

How would you describe your sound?

Generally, I guess I’d say it’s happy and feel-good music!

Is that the type of energy you like to give off when you perform live?

Yeah, yeah! I just want people to be happy, especially when they are at my shows. Jumping into the crowd and dancing, I definitely encourage that.

What inspires your visuals and fashion sense?

I’m always trying to be more confident and adventurous. I love putting all the different colours of my culture together.

What’s your ideal day off?

Definitely playing video games! I love putting my phone aside and reading a book and playing a lot of video games.
