Cassia are keeping the indie dream alive on new single Loosen Up.

Indie has fallen out of favour somewhat in recent years, yet as the end of 2018 approaches, signs are that the genre might be finding its feet once again. A crop of new bands are winning favour with the press and public alike and signalling a new day for the scene.

Helping lead the charge are the Annie Mac backed Cassia. Hailing from Macclesfield, the trio make sunny indie inspired the likes of The Black Keys, The Police and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Their new single, ‘Loosen Up’, premiering today on Notion, is a prime example of their sound. Built around staccato guitars and a vocalised chorus it’s an indie daydream of a track.

Speaking about ‘Loosen Up’, Cassia said: “We think ‘Loosen Up’ is one of the best tracks we’ve come up with so far. It sums up what we think is important as a band and the message we want to spread in the future. We want to write music for people to loosen up and come together to. It’s definitely one of our favourites; we think it’s a bop.” Listen to ‘Loosen Up’ below.
