“Cathedral” by MJ Cole

Ahead of the release of his forthcoming album, 'MJ Cole presents Madrugada', MJ Cole premieres his emotive and cinematic new single 'Cathedral'.

After what feels like an eternity of teasing fans with the release of powerful and haunting club remixes of unreleased MJ Cole singles by some of electronic music’s finest names including Shanti Celeste, Model Man, Max Cooper, MJ Cole proudly announces the forthcoming release of his next album ‘MJ Cole presents Madrugada’ which is out Friday 3rd April via Decca Records, as well as announcing its debut live show on Wednesday 29th April at EartH Hackney.

Kicking things off with a bang so to speak, is the stunning and captivating single ‘Cathedral’ from the upcoming album. Directed by Henry Dean, this gentle piano-led track is a soft and tender emotional journey that transpires through sound and the visual world. The perfect way to describe the feeling Cathedral leaves you with is actually by the word Madrugada itself.

Madrugada, the Spanish word for those strange, and reflective hours before sunrise is a known time that appears to sit on the outside looking in. Leaving a rave in the early hours appears to a transcendent time where parallel universes exist in harmony.  Shot in Kiev, this video is a beautiful snapshot into the mystical hours of the Madrugada and the wonderful people that operate in them.

As we await the forthcoming album, dive into MJ Cole’s ‘Cathedral’ below and grab your ticket for his debut live show on Wednesday 29th April at EartH Hackney.
