Jodie Harsh shares a new made-for-the-club banger titled "Fascinating Light".
Are you ready for the weekend? You will be when you hear Jodie Harsh’s new track, “Fascinating Light”.
Carried by a house rhythm, the track starts off with a made-for-the-club build up (remember clubs!); the repetitive bassline thumping quickly in an intermittent fashion – giving the sonic effect of flashing lights. It’s addictive from the get-go.
The lyrics, meanwhile, describe finding “a kind of paradise” and “a thousand bodies intertwined” in the club’s euphoric environment. It’s an ode to dancing; to coming together under the lasers and strobing lights.
“Fascinating Light” is the first taste of the London-based DJ and producer’s upcoming EP, ‘Beats N’ Pieces’. According to Harsh’s Twitter, the EP’s other tracks, “Paris,” “Nerve” and “Burn It Down” are “not far behind.”
The new tune is comparatively pared-back to Harsh’s previous numbers. The disco-house tracks she released earlier this year included “Never Knew (L.O.V.E)” and the SOPHIE collaboration, “Tuesday.”
Whilst we may not be able to return to the dancefloor just yet, Jodie Harsh’s “Fascinating Light” will transport you there in mind and soul.
