Apple TV+ have dropped the first look at Argylle, a spy thriller starring Dua Lipa and Henry Cavill.

More and more of our most famous pop stars are taking their talents to the big screen these days. Alana Haim debuted with Licorice Pizza, Rina Sawayama is set to take on John Wick in the next installment, and Harry Styles is a Marvel hero now – they’re all trying it, often with pretty successful results.

Later this year, Dua Lipa is set to join their number with her official acting debut. She’ll be starring in the spy thriller film Argylle, directed by Matthew Vaughn of the Kingsman franchise alongside Henry Cavill. It’s based on a novel that’s actually yet to be released by author Ellie Conway, and boasts a highly impressive ensemble cast alongside Dua Lipa.

That’s Henry Cavill in the starring role, alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara and John Cena. It’s a film with plenty of impressive bonafides, so it’s no wonder that, while its release is a few months away, Apple TV+ have started to hype it with the release of a first look image starring Cavill, Lipa and a very, very blonde wig.

Argylle is set to drop on Apple TV+, and in a limited theatrical release, in the second half of 2022.
