Returning with their most introspective song yet, South London band Balcony share the stunning visual for their new single ‘Hope’ starring Game of Thrones actor Owen Teale.

The video’s striking visuals backed by Owen’s proficient acting exposes the root behind Balcony’s plaintive lyricism and reveals the inspiration behind the reflective track.

The song focuses on the ambivalence of growing up in the modern world and its accompanying short film is a touching and vulnerable accessory which further enhances the track’s emotional themes. Existing in an unsetting world where things can sometimes appear confusing, the band explains that they wanted to write a song that got to the core of these emotions: “We’re all growing up in a world that feels very scary right now. There’s a lot of tension bubbling underneath the surface and you can sometimes feel uneasy and insignificant.”

If you’re new to the band, Balcony are a London based four-piece drawn from three continents who are merging their backgrounds and influences into one. Already accumulating support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Radio X, the band will support Lewis Capaldi on his extensive UK tour later this year.
