East London songstress Rachel Foxx is embodying soul in it's purest form with the release of her expressive new track "Is It Me?".

24-year-old singer/songwriter Rachel Foxx is carrying the torch within the UK’s glistening and ever-evolving R&B scene.

 

Foxx is the amalgamation of all the greats who have come before her – Erykah, Sade and Jill Scott to new a name of the legends. Perfectly blending and fusing 90s nostalgia of these divas with Rachel’s own unique take and twists on R&B is what makes this artist one to watch. Rachel Foxx is at the intersection of where the past meets the future, and trust us when we say it sounds so excellent.

 

‘Is It Me?’ is the delicately slick new track that effortlessly fuses today’s electronic rebirth with Foxx’s idiosyncratic R&B flare. Speaking on the track, Foxx reveals “When I wrote ‘Is It Me?’ I was thinking about the first stages of dating, the uncertainty, the excitement. I say ‘are you seeing what I’m seeing?’ I want to know if it’s mutual. Whether it be love or lust, I dislike all the added pressure of what’s expected of one another. My thing is, if there are feelings there, let’s see where it goes.”

 

In her short career, Rachel Foxx has supported the likes of Lauryn Hill, Kelis and Joey Badass, released her viral COLORS performance, as well as a sell-out headline show at Camden Assembly. It’s certain that Rachel Foxx’s trajectory is set for the stars.
