German producer Vril serves up a new remix of Julien Bracht’s “Breaking the Waves”.

Two giants of the German techno scene have collided – Julien Bracht, straight from his remix of Grimes’ “My Name is Dark”, and Vril, who has been responsible for releasing Marcel Dettman’s ‘Bad Manners’ series.

Bracht has long been a landmark on the German techno scene, having previously unleashed three EPs within one year. In 2015, he founded London post-rock group Lea Porcelain, who were integral to his latest ‘Now Forever One’ album. Vril, meanwhile, has been making waves together with techno mammoth Rødhåd.

“Breaking The Waves” has been extracted from Bracht’s last album and given a fresh spin by Vril. It conjoins muffled beats with gradually clarifying synths for a track that feels like stormy weather giving way to brighter skies.

We’ve heard Bracht and Vril’s collaboration will pave the way for even bigger and better things.
