Lewys Ball rounds up everything you might've missed this week, including picks from SZA's new album, iconic looks from Jade Thirlwall and more.

In another issue of everything you need to be knowing, this week: the nepo babies epidemic reaches new heights, my favourite tracks from SZAs new album, Jade Thirlwalls iconic 30th birthday and FLO winning their first BRIT Award.

What To Listen To: “Ghost in the Machine” ft. Phoebe Bridgers – SZA

It finally happened, we got new SZA music. Knowing when new music was actually coming was never certain, but the other week we got 23 new tracks on her album SOS. Some of my favourites are “Conceited”, “Low”, “Kill Bill” & “F2F”, but my favourite track from the album was the unlikely collab between herself and Phoebe Bridgers.

Iconic Look: Jade Thirlwall as Lil’ Kim at her 30th Birthday

The Little Mix band member celebrated her 30th birthday this week with a party named ‘The JMAs’. Guests came dressed as iconic looks from music videos, award shows & red carpets. We saw Jades boyfriend Jordan Stephens go as her look from the “Sweet Melody” music video, myself & Olivia Neill went as a bootleg Britney & Justin’s denim VMA outfits (there will be no picture evidence, it was bad) but the most iconic look was from the birthday girl, who recreated Lil’ Kims iconic 1999 VMAs look.

Who To Follow On Social Media: @gettyimagesfanclub

This account is a fix of nostalgia through celebrities doing random acts which live only in the space of Getty Images. A reminder of unlikely scenarios which are can only be relived & remembered thanks to the vault of Getty Images, and its made my life so much better. I cant begin to tell you how much my life has improved since seeing this photo of Lana Del Rey & Kate Moss.

What To Watch: susielola on YouTube

Susie is a London based fashion YouTuber who keeps you in the loop of all the small brands & trend cycles to be aware of. She posts videos from thrift hauls to outfits of the week in a vlog style which make you feel like you are in her bedroom getting ready with her. A must watch for anyone into sustainable fashion & unique pieces.

What To Wear: Fur Coats

They are big, they are warm, they cause great topic of conversation. I got this fur coat from a charity shop for £12 and I cant take it off. I wore it to a wedding and I feel like I got more compliments than the bride, but I also wear it pretty much everyday with tracksuits to pop to big Tesco.

Iconic Moment Of The Week: FLO Win A BRIT

FLO came onto the scene at the start of this year and are by far my favourite new artist to come out of 2022. With personal favourite hits like “Summertime” & “Not My Job” and viral track “Cardboard Box”, they have managed to snag their first BRIT award as ‘Rising Star’. I would like to put in a request for a whole medley please.

Not So Iconic Moment Of The Week: The Nepo Babies Response To Being CalledNepo Babies

New York Magazines latest issue is titled The Year of the Nepo Baby, and it has the nepo babies up in arms. The conversation has seen people such as Lily Allen and Lottie Moss come out to defend nepo babies, despite their success being somewhat thanks to famous family members. Twitter has not let them breathe since. To deny having a privilege thanks to your family is a questionable move, and sometimes its better to just keep quiet.

Icon Of The Week: Luxx Noir London

RuPauls Drag Race sees its 15th season in the new year and this week the cast was revealed alongside the news that the show will be moving to MTV. The cast includes the first pair of twins (Sugar & Spice) to compete on the show and ‘your favourite drag queens favourite drag queen’, Sasha Colby. But my personal favourite from the 16 queens is Luxx Noir London, who shared this hilarious & adorable video of hew on the subway announcing shes on the cast.
