Meet Lil Halima, the new Scandinavian soul twisting things up, lyrically and artistically.

There’s something special about Lil Halima. If you’re not captivated by her laid-back vocals that seek to transcend you into her very own world of heartbreak, then you’re certain to be hooked by her unique art aesthetic, which is often exhibited to anyone and everywhere when she uses her skin as a canvas for her colourful musings.

Speaking specifically on her music; it’s catchy, cool and draws inspiration from a plethora of different sources whether it’s traditional Norwegian jams (she grew up in Norway) or Salsa. When it comes to her lyrics, they touch upon anything and everything that she’s experienced; the inner-most trials and tribulations of her personal life are fair game. There’s something magical about the way she can layer her semi-raw vocals over such intense bouncy beats. It almost feels as though there’s a Jorja Smith vibe, except Lil Halima isn’t phased about being commercially friendly, she’s intent on making some cool and collected.

Still revelling in the success of her most recent EP, for the dark days, which dropped earlier this year, Lil Halima is no doubt set for a very busy Summer. Whether she hits the festivals or not, there’s one thing we can guarantee, she’ll be the name on everyone’s lips before the year is out.
