Playful pop singer SOFY bounces back with new EP, ‘Bored In Colour (Pt.2)’.

With witty, relatable lyrics and a playful approach to pop, SOFY made her name as one to watch in 2022. Having played Glastonbury in her debut festival season, gained support from the likes of Radio 1 and even been selected for the FIFA 23 soundtrack (alongside FKA Twigs and Rosalía), her earworm hooks and 00s Brit-pop sensibility are clearly resonating – and it’s not hard to see why.

This week SOFY and her band are ushering in a new year of milestone achievements with six-track project, ‘Bored In Colour (Pt.2)’. As the second instalment to 2022’s debut ‘Bored In Colour (Pt.1)’, the EP paints a vibrant soundscape packed with personality, dancing between light irony and intimate, soft pop moments.

Speaking about her new EP, SOFY says: “I wanted to make a two-part EP from the offset as the first introduction to SOFY because once I started writing songs for the first time last year it opened up a whole new world for me and I found I had quite a lot to say (shock). I’m always thinking about a million things at once but have never really been one to write them down until I discovered songwriting, so the whole ‘Bored in Colour’ project definitely feels like a first diary entry in a way – a window into the weird running social commentary that’s on my mind 24/7, and a collection of my thoughts and experiences so far”.
