After a successful launch with two weeks of amazing live streams and interviews with some of the most exciting new artists, we are back with Lockdown With Spinnup and announcing a second run of online events today!
Mark your calendars as continuing from today at a new time of 8pm (UK), Spinnup have curated a line up that provides a window into the world of the next wave of UK artists. Every weeknight the series introduces a new artist, including, for this week:
- Monday 18th May: Bedroom / Boredom
- Tuesday 19th May: Lili Caseley
- Wednesday 20th May: Sweeney
- Thursday 21st May: MADDY
- Friday 22nd May: GARDEN
The series features a combination of interviews and live shows presented by BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Jamz Supernova and BBC Introducing London’s Jess Iszatt, who come together to provide a vital platform for these emerging artists at a time they need it most, creating an atmosphere where you can really get to know these rising artists.
The Universal Music Group-owned distribution service has also launched a new initiative that enables artists to release a one or two-track single via its platform throughout the month of May for free! UK artists have also had the chance to enter their track into the ‘Lockdown Competition’, created with the aim of finding artists to fill two slots on the upcoming Lockdown With Spinnup series, launching today.
The Lockdown With Spinnup live series expands on Spinnup’s existing Creators United global initiative. A new hub designed for independent artists during this strange and isolating time. Full of information and resources the portal exists to help artists keep up momentum, by encouraging the creation and release of new music, whilst offering a united space to come together in.
