Øya festival adds Jarvis Cocker, Celeste, Sam Fender, and 070 Shake + many more to its already stellar lineup.

Norway’s Øya festival has announced more names for its annual Summer celebration. 

 

The Oslo based festival, which takes place 11th – 15th August, will see Jarvis Cocker take to the stage alongside previously announced headliners The Strokes, Bon Iver, Solange and Aurora. The Pulp legend will be introducing his new ensemble, JARV IS, a project that sees Cocker writing songs collaboratively with an audience.

 

Joining him on the exemplary and gender-equal line up are Nigerian singer/songwriter and afrobeats king Wizkid, indie darling Sam Fender, soul sensation and BRITs Critics Choice winner Celeste.

 

Parquet Courts, Bright Eyes, 070 Shake and Kamelen round off the lineup of what promises to be one of the best festivals of the summer.

 

Officially the world’s greenest festival, tickets for Øya cost 3199 NOK (£271) for 5 days and 1,199 NOK (£101) for one day. Grab one soon, you won’t want to miss out.
