Celebrating a year since the hotel opened its doors, we teamed up with The Hoxton Shepherd's Bush for a birthday to remember as D Double E and DJs Noire, JOJO and Nigel took to the stage.

The Hoxton opened its Shepherd’s Bush-located hotel just over a year ago now, and with a plush events space at their disposal, it was time to celebrate the west London hub’s first birthday.

We teamed up with the hotel chain to provide a night of music from a host of rising DJs and legendary emcee D Double E, who’s just released his new EP, No Reign No Flowers. The Forest Gate native brought all the adlibs and oneliners a grime fan could hope for while showing his dexterity over genres like jungle and garage.

Cloud X member JOJO, who opened our show with N-Dubz this summer, brought her arsenal of edits and deep UK club cuts to the venue. UK funky and percussive house maverick NOIRE also held down the ones and twos with his innovative blends of globe-trotting dance music. Similarly, Nigel was on hand to keep up the tempo and make sure guests two-stepping long into the night.

There were free tattoos, drinks and food for all in attendance. People could be seen getting inked up with their favourite cocktail in hand and then raving to the selection of tracks blasting from the PA.

The Hoxton Hotel sits slap bang in the middle of Shepherd’s Bush, and with a selection of snug rooms and swanky restaurants, the west London establishment is becoming a favourite for those travelling to the capital. Nodding to the area’s illustrious history, its vibrant atmosphere was on full display last Thursday for our collaborative event.
