Notion gets an exclusive sneak peek behind the scenes of the music video for Guvna B and D Double E's "Very Original".

Notion has been given an exclusive look behind the scenes of Guvna B’s video for “Very Original”, together with D Double E, a gut-wrenching new track taken from Guvna B’s album ‘everywhere + nowhere’.

Directed by Femi Ladi, the striking video tours viewers around an estate in London, hitting home the statistics on youth violence which conclude the video. After footage of the two rappers relaying around the estate in one impressive long shot, the visuals close on the words: “This isn’t exclusive to one side of the community, it’s not just a black issue or a white issue, this problem involves us all.” Listeners are redirected to the charity Power the Fight.

Speaking on the video, Guvna B has said: “We filmed this video on an estate in London because that’s where we’ve seen it all. The love, the hate, the aspiration, the humiliation, the dreams, the nightmares. I’ve got hope that the young people of today will learn from the positive role models that came before them, just like I learned from D Double E.”

Guvna B has been making waves in both music, broadcasting, and now the literary world. He has released 10 albums, produced segments for the BBC and Sky Sports, and his second book, Unspoken: Toxic Masculinity and How I Faced The Man Within The Man, shares themes with his latest track. Like the book, “Very Original” aims to open up the conversation on toxic masculinity.

The double MOBO award-winning artist features the likes of Wretch 32, Madison Ryann Ward, CalledOut Music, Still Shadey and Tidez on his newest album, ‘everywhere + nowhere’.
