From the long-awaited 'Lunch' by Billie Eilish to the must-listen covers of Miley Cyrus, here are the new tracks you need to hear right now.

‘LUNCH’ by Billie Eilish

Kicking things off with the highly anticipated new album from Billie Eilish, the second track is a queer anthem with a vibey ‘80s bassline ready to sweet you into the world of Hit Me Hard and Soft. “[‘Lunch’] was actually part of what helped me become who I am, to be real”, Billie told Rolling Stone earlier this year, it’s a song celebrating WLW, understanding your identity and we can’t get enough.

‘Sweet Thang’ by Childish Gambino & Summer Walker

Surprise dropping Atavista, the newly reworked version of his sixth album, artist, producer, director, actor and all round genius Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino has teamed up with Summer Walker to take ‘Sweet Thang’ to a new level. A dreamy, atmospheric song with electric organ and vocal FX galore, it’s a summer must-listen for sure.

’encore’ by Shygirl & Danny L Harle

Having just announced a remix album of her Club Shy EP, due in July and featuring the likes of Logic1000, Shygirl has teased it by dropping new track ‘Encore’. Featuring and co-produced by PC Music’s Danny L Harle, the energetic electro-dance-pop single is a playful taste of what’s to come.

‘Psycho Killer’ by Miley Cyrus

Finally, the long-awaited opening track of A24’s new compilation album Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense has been revealed. A synth-trenched version of the Talking Heads classic, Miley Cyrus’ ‘Psycho Killer’ rendition is the perfect opener to a genre-bending and utterly out-of-this-world homage to one of the greatest (and weirdest) bands to ever exist.

‘July’ by Wunderhorse

Confirming details of their sophomore album Midas today, Wunderhorse teased what’s to come with brand new rock single, ‘July’. Recorded at the birthplace of Nirvana’s In Utero, Minnesota’s Pachyderm Studio, it’s a heavy but abstract track full of life and electricity, drawing us into the four-piece band’s sonic universe with ease.

‘BOYS’ by flowerovlove

Marking her first track of 2024, flowerovlove gets the vibes for hot girl summer pumping. Channelling the spirited energy of Charlie XCX and HAIM, the track feels hyper-pop initially, however blossoms into a straight-up indie-pop number, narrating the excitement of having a crush.

‘Together’ by Chance The Rapper & DJ Premier

Continuing the roll out of his long-awaited Star Line Gallery project, Chance The Rapper drops another single, ‘Together’ featuring DJ Premier. Musing on his childhood and family bonds, Chance’s lyrics flow over a piano-driven melody as he pays homage to his hometown, Chicago.

’NANi’ by Saweetie

This track is a must-add to your summer pre-clubbing playlist. Titled ‘NANi', Saweetie serves up a quintessential pretty girl anthem, celebrating self-love and sisterhood. With breezy electronic beats, Saweetie gears up to dominate the night, planning to hit “the club, backdoor section, shots, another club.”

'ATM' by Nemzzz

Manchester’s own, Nemzzz, turns up the heat in ‘ATM’. Featuring cinematic orchestral elements that are juxtaposed against an icy industrial production, Nemzzz’s sharp wordplay and playful adlibs sit atop. Reflecting on his accolades, he showcases his wordsmith energy, making it clear that his trajectory is only upward.

‘Sweetness’ by Elmiene & Leon Thomas

Soul sensation Elmiene reflects on the dimming light of past love in ‘Sweetness’. Staying true to his signature style of exploring his most intricate emotions, he masterfully navigates heartbreak in the track. With sparse piano layers and a subtle percolating bongo rhythm, he poignantly laments a lingering love.
