Rising afrobeats sensation, Maulo is back with visuals for infectious new release “Roll It”.
Maulo is a British-Nigerian songwriter crafting authentic dance hits. Heavily influenced by the classical pan-African sounds he grew up on, “Roll It” sees the artist bounce back with another buoyant release and is the official taster of his brand-new EP, scheduled for release early 2023.
In 2021 Maulo blew up with his acclaimed hit single “Ambition”, which saw the artist skyrocket to number three on Shazam across the world. The success of this track also drew in the attention of notorious boxer Anthony Joshua, who later walked out to the release in front of a crowd of 60,000+ people before his first fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
Produced by Specialist Moss (Shy FX, Zed Bias, Mr. Williamz), Maulo speaks in depth on his new release: “the dance culture in afrobeats was the main inspiration behind “Roll It”, I remember spending hours and hours on TikTok watching dancers dance to different songs, and their choreography brought these songs further to life. They inspired me to want to make something that represented me, my style, and my sound, which I could share with the dance community, and I hope people love it when they hear it”.
