Akemi Fox has dropped a summery new single, "See You Soon".

With her brand of effortlessly catchy alternative R&B, rising star Akemi Fox has proven herself to be the pride of Manchester. Her debut EP ‘Colour You In’ was celebrated across the music press and garnered over a million streams, and earned Fox a prestigious spot playing at the Manchester International music festival.

As her spring & summer tour continues, with support slots for Kojey Radical and Children of Zeus ahead, Fox is getting ready for the warm weather and beginning the run-up to her anticipated sophomore EP by starting to roll out new music.

First is the new single “See You Soon”. The listener is greeted into the song by light, summery acoustic sounds, which prove to be the perfect compliment for the relaxed airiness of Fox’s vocals. There’s a quiet yearning and vulnerability underneath the soft and laid-back vibes, with Fox expressing real openness and a desire to connect.

On the song, Fox says, “For me, ‘See You Soon’ is a cute summer song about love. It’s a song about confessing your love to someone and wanting to see them soon to reconnect to relive all the special moments you feel when with them. The song is described as though being in the sun during summer, and makes anyone listening want to bathe in that warm feeling of being in love. It’s a light-hearted song with a catchy rhythm with the message being that you want to see your loved one soon”.
