With an incredible vulnerability and rawness, Dennis Lloyd is back with the release of his new single, "Anxious". To celebrate, he picks 10Trax for Notion.

Born and raised in Tel Aviv, Dennis Lloyd shared his debut EP, ‘Exident’ in 2019. Following the release, Lloyd surpassed one billion streams across all platforms and travelled the world on the sold-out “Never Go Back Tour”, with highlights including show-stopping sets at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, New York City’s Governor’s Ball, and Dover, DE’s Firefly Festival.

While Dennis’ 2018 single, “Nevermind” was becoming a global success, things couldn’t be more stressful and tense for him behind the scenes. Dennis had hoped to release “Never Go Back” as his follow up single, while his previous label did not agree with that creative direction and blocked Dennis from releasing new music. A year-long legal dispute between the two parties followed, which led to Dennis experiencing serious depression and anxiety, not knowing if he would ever be able to release music again.

Now, with the first instalment from his debut album set for release later this year, Lloyd has shared the track, “Anxious”. The song seeks to chronicle these troubling and dark times. It explores the universal struggles associated with anxiety, depression and loneliness. His panic attack episodes were the inspiration behind the visuals.

To celebrate the forthcoming release of his debut LP, Dennis Lloyd has picked 10Trax for Notion that provide truly classic and nostalgic vibes.

"Ain’t No Sunshine" by Bill Withers

"You feel this song in your gut. This song speaks though generations, background, music taste. It’s the definition of a classic."

"The World (Is Going Up in Flames)" by Charles Bradley

"This song feels very fitting for these times. Hopefully 2021 is a lot better than this past year. I'm dropping my debut album so at one good thing I have to look forward to."

"Roxanne" by The Police

"Who’s a bigger badass than Sting?"

"Valerie" by Amy Winehouse

"I can listen to Valerie on repeat. We lost a legend in Amy. She had the voice of a century."

"Like a Stone" by Audioslave

"Chris Cornell is an idol of mine. This was one of my favourite Audioslave songs and I actually got to cover it on Spotify sessions with Tom Morello. It was a dream come true."

"Lithium" by Nirvana

"Kurt was another one of my idols growing up. I had a poster of him hanging on my wall. He influenced the person and the music I make today in such a profound way."

"Layla - Acoustic; Live At MTV Unplugged" by Eric Clapton

"I grew up listening to Eric Clapton and this song has to be one of the best songs ever written."

"In A Sentimental Mood" by Duke Ellington, John Coltrane

"Very special artist to me for many reasons. “Grey skies are just clouds passing over” - Duke."

"Apparently" by J. Cole

""I keep my head high, I got my wings to carry me. I don't know freedom, I want my dreams to rescue me." Best rapper alive."

"Hit Me Baby" by Britney Spears

"What seems like a different world now but when we could have live shows, I used to end my set by playing ‘Hit Me Baby.’ Girls in the crowd would go crazy when they realized what I was playing and usually the guys in the crowd would initially try to play it cool. By the end of the song, EVERYONE is screaming out the words!"
