Described as one of the most exciting bands in the UK, Easy Life share their top 10Trax ahead of their playful new single ‘Earth’.
Combining hip-hop and R&B whilst adding a dash of sultry electronics and honest pop seems like a recipe for madness, but not for the explosive Leicester five-piece. If you’re completely new to Easy Life; think the bliss of a Devonté Hynes track mixed with the honest and poetic lyricism of Loyle Carner and suddenly it’ll all make sense.
Working on a farm your entire life can be an incredibly isolating experience, and that’s exactly what inspired lead singer Murray on the band’s latest release ‘Earth’. Already known for their shimmering and self-possessed personality, ‘Earth’ continues the band’s rocket-fuelled rise to the top with its honest and eye-opening lyrics. After becoming a passionate environmental advocate, the inspiration behind the track arose from the need to address the current issues surrounding the world’s climate whilst speaking for those who continue to feel alone on this unsettling planet.
With their unique yet universal storytelling, Easy Life have already garnered themselves a devoted global fanbase which has successfully landed them a headline set at Glastonbury’s BBC Introducing stage with additional appearances at Coachella and Governors Ball.
They’ll commence on their extensive UK tour later this year but while we wait in anticipation for new music, check out the top 10Trax they’ll be blasting on the road below.
