Star. One pick 10Trax that have been the biggest inspiration to them over time and influenced them into pursuing their own music career.

Star. One are the London-based duo skilled in everything from garage and grime to jungle, house, dancehall, afrobeats and drum and bass – you name it.

The brothers are currently one of the UK’s best-kept secrets, but we doubt that will be for long. DJing, producing, remixing and bootlegging, Adam and Joe draw from a range of influences and experiences and can name collaborators such as The Streets, P Money, Asher D, Unknown T, D Double E, Ghetts, Eva Lazarus, Big Narstie and Craig David.

As well as a recent remix of The Streets & Tame Impala’s “Call My Phone Thinking I’m Doing Nothing Better”, Star. One have teamed up with Trillary for the new single “This Way”. Their recent work has gone a long way to re-establishing the pair as one of the UK’s most adept production and DJ duos.

We asked Adam and Joe to pick 10 songs that have been the biggest inspiration to them over time and influenced them into pursuing their own music career. Jump in!

"The simplicity of the production but the impact it has is crazy. When that bass kicks in it’s a madness, every single time."

"In Love" by Chase & Status and Jenna G

"Feel good, sing along drum & bass - can’t beat it. Jenna Gs vocals are [fire]."

"We Need A Resolution" by Aaliyah

"Stand on the Word" by The Joubert Singers

"It’s impossible to be in a bad mood when listening to this."

"Pulse X" by Youngstar

"I think man made this on a PlayStation? Just such a sick beat which encapsulates that Grime come UKG sweet spot."
