Outside Mowalola Ogunlesi’s fall ready-to-wear 2023 collection: seven street-style looks that you need to see.

It’s 10pm on the second day of London Fashion Week and the queue to see one of this season’s hottest shows is enormous. There’s only one person who could rally such a crowd this late in the day and that’s no other than Mowalola Ogunlesi. Darkweb AW23 is one of the first full collections since her Fashion East days, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

Attendees were transported to the Big Apple via an abundance of oversized denim, to-the-floor slouchy pants and bootleg Yankees tributes, spotlighted on a fresh collaboration with Timberland. Mowalola’s iconic leather work dominated once again, with heat-mapped trenches and the most fantastic sling bags. One served as a canvas for good friend Slawn, who graced the catwalk with his baby boy in hand.

The show was outstanding but so was the guest list. We stayed outside to snap some of the looks and discover what Mowalola’s muses wear.
