From his recent album ‘Drive 2’ comes Kevin Ross’ latest single “Sweet Release”.
An accomplished singer, songwriter, producer, and performer, Kevin Ross is a Billboard charting R&B artist making waves. His new single “Sweet Release” is a pitch-perfect summer tune, already racking up streams across platforms.
Born in Washington DC, Ross launched his musical career in 2016 after earning a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Since then, his roster is impressive: having written and produced music for the likes of Jamie Foxx, Ty Dolla Sign, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Trey Songz. Kevin’s first single “Long Song Away” reached #1 On Billboard’s Adult R&B charts, and he’s accumulated over 100 million streams on his back catalogue.
New track “Sweet Release” is written and produced by the star, including his recognisable vocals alongside bright guitar and an addictive hook. Speaking on the track: Ross describes: “Everybody has a guilty pleasure or something to take them away from the daily monotony,” he observes. “It’s more so about escapism than it’s meant to be sexual or sensual. For me, the main key is escape. If you’re riding in the car, you can play the song. It could just feel liberating like a cool breeze. This song is transformative in a sense. Wherever you are, it can be your soundtrack.”
