Experimental-pop artist Lyves partners up with esteemed producer Dave Okumu for the release of glistening new track “The System”.

The brain child of Francesca Bergami, Lyves is an independent songwriter and producer with an Italian and Australian background. Today sees the artist share her art-pop new single “The System” ahead of her second studio EP ‘Change’ out this November.

With a staggering 60+ million streams online, Lyves has built quite the acclaim with her music. Whilst still in the process of developing this journey, before making her transition into music Lyves studied psychology and worked as a mental health advocate supporting mentally ill adults and children.

“The System” sees the artist share the final track ahead of her highly-anticipated sophomore EP ‘Change’. Gearing fans up for her sombre and emotive new sound, “The System” also sees Lyves collaborate with producer Dave Okumu (Adele, Jessie Ware, Amy Winehouse, St. Vincent) for eerie harmonies and occasional guitar parts. Speaking about the collaboration Lyves says: “Dave’s additional vocals also added a new dimension for me”. Continuing on her latest: “’The System’ feels like the most empowering song I’ve written about love to date – it is an ode to self-love, growth, and healing. The song came about after recognising I no longer wanted to choose pain in love – I wanted to step away from unavailable people and situations that hurt”.
