Nigerian superstar Olamide returns with epic new album, 'Unruly'.
Recently recognised in Billboard’s ‘International Power Players’ 2023 list and boasting over one billion streams worldwide, Olamide is no stranger to success. New album ‘Unruly‘ sees the artist revel in that success, leaning into his freedom to play and revel in creativity. The title itself reflects his approach: to create music free from constraints, driven only by instinct and artistic impulse. “There was no contemplation on what I should do, I just did what I wanted to do, epitomizing the essence of ‘unruliness’”, Olamide explains.
Over 15 tracks, the Nigerian legend draws on a roster or rising artists, including Rema, Asake, BNXN, CKay and Fireboy DML. Dedicated to spotlighting and supporting the new generation of afrobeats artists, the project maps out a sprawling selection of talent, underlining Olamide’s deeper commitment to unity within Pan-African music.
With lead singles “New Religion” and “Trumpet” garnering nearly 100 million global streams already, ‘Unruly’ is set to be one of Olamide’s most impactful projects to date.
