Miller’s brand of R&B is a melting-pot of nostalgic and warm vocals on top of his idiosyncratic soundscape of modern jazz-electronica, and his latest track ‘Us’ is certainly no different.

 

Ultimately, ‘Us’ is a love song filled with a yearning that is often felt at the beginning of any new relationship – wondering where that person is, what they are doing and who they are with. It’s a push and pull of trust and letting go that makes this new track one that will always ring true.

 

Miller’s simplistic and vulnerable lyricism is reinforced by the springy Lo-Fi production that leaves you with the feeling that it’s all going to be alright, which is especially needed in today’s times.

 

Speaking on the latest track, Miller Blue revealed, “For me, I’d just started dating again after a long-term relationship the year prior. I’d met a girl, she seemed great and I was so intrigued by her. I’d not met anyone like her before. After getting to know her I found myself stuck in this limbo stage in which I had no clue where I stood. It almost felt like a diary entry, I wasn’t gonna say these things to her as I couldn’t be sure of her intention and it didn’t seem fair at this point to assume.” Feels.

 

Miller’s amalgamation of neo-soul, jazz and R&B is topped off with his humorous personality which results in you feeling lighter after you finished the love song.
