Multi-headed beast VMO can only be described as an experience. They combine metal with shrieking, nerve-jangling electronic noise and painted faces. Los Angeles-based photographer Alexis Gross heads to Osaka to capture them in the act for Notion 87!

The unique project, Violent Magic Orchestra, boasts founding members Paul Régimbeau (Mondkopf, Extreme Precautions, Autrenoir), and Pete Swanson of Japanese experimental black metal collective Vampillia.
