Peek behind the curtain with the intimate snapshots of JGrrey supporting Billie Eilish on her most recent European tour.
At just 25-years-old, south London-born singer-songwriter JGrrey has already established her musical niche with her vulnerability, honest songwriting and sleek vocals. Her debut EP ‘Grrey Daze’ showcases her lyrical ability and extraordinary voice; from the hypnotic lead single Notice to the dreamy ‘Pretty Insane’ in which she openly discusses mental health. It serves as evidence to her raw talent which has already been supported by the likes of Annie Mac, Jorja Smith and Julie Adenuga.
Born in Lambeth, JGrrey — an interesting combination of her first initial and her favourite colour — moved between various foster homes until she was 5 years old when she was adopted along with her half brother. Luckily, she found herself in a household of music lovers who encouraged her own interest in music and dance. Her upbringing inevitably influenced her frank songwriting and incredible style which has made her a force to be reckoned with, which even landed her a writing session with Lily Allen.
Intelligent and fiercely talented, her musical output was one that has been years in the making. Earlier this year, she received a DM from none other than Billie Eilish and was presented with an offer she simply couldn’t refuse — an opening set on her European tour.
