Bristol-based duo Firewoodisland have released their inspiring new single “Looking For Love” ahead of a new album, which will be released throughout 2023.

Firewoodisland are the Norwegian / Welsh duo, formed of Stian Vedøy and Abi Eleri, combine folk, acoustic and electronic music to create what they describe as “mountain pop”, experimenting with harmonies to create an uplifting tone which compliments their optimistic lyricism. They are perfect for fans of musicians like First Aid Kit and Tom Rosenthal.

Their new single “Looking For Love” was released on the 21st of April and aims to provide “an explosion of hope.” The pair frequently celebrate optimism in their music, promoting the idea in their new song that “you are intrinsically valued and loved just by being.”

After being featured in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy and supporting Kaiser Chiefs at a London show, the duo are preparing to release their 3rd album, sharing new singles each month in the run-up to its full release. Fans can also see the new songs live when Firewoodisland perform at the Between the Trees festival in Wales on the 27th of August.
