Phonox announce new residency series: Mantra

Ever since Phonox opened their doors four years ago, they have stuck to their guns with their strong belief in having a resident DJ playing all night every Saturday. One thing’s for sure – that has not changed.

Say hello to Mantra – Phonox’s newest love child born out of their desire to expand and lift up London’s diverse music scene whilst paying homage to the global hip-hop culture. Of course, there will still be an array of some of the best techno and house playing the south side of the Thames.

When asked about the creation of Mantra, the team at Phonox said “The UK is at the forefront of cutting-edge sounds and we want the clubs programming to reflect this more. Skinny Macho, Tommy Gold and Bossy LDN are the perfect residents to define, share and evolve Mantra’s vision. From running their own labels to hosting radio shows and parties across the globe, our residents have helped pioneer a very current and exciting scene built around hip hop, arts and fashion. Most importantly, their sets epitomise high energy and party.”

To kick the season off, there will be a pre-party with Ejder on the 5th of September to give you a taste of what’s to come, then with their official opening on the 21st of September – plenty of time to get your tickets. With an incredible 8 weeks of parties to launch Mantra at Phonox, there’s no reason to have any end-of-summer blues.

With support from the likes of Highsnobiety Liam Hodges and Patta to name a few, Mantra will also see host to a few international artists – keep your eyes peeled.
