Experimental duo Milky Chance share their first full-length project in over a year, kaleidoscopic new mixtape ‘Trip Tape II’.

Milky Chance are an esteemed project from Germany making experimental-house. Having made a name for themselves with their critically acclaimed hit, “Down by the River”, the duo are back, this time with a celestial full-length mixtape.

Following last year’s surprise mixtape, ‘Trip Tape’, which accumulated 55 million streams, ‘Trip Tape II’ sees Milky Chance’s anticipated return, but with a twist of shimmering psychedelic beats. Consisting of Clemens Rehbein (guitar/vocals) and Phillip Dausch (bass/percussion), together the band curate silky smooth hits.

Out via their self-produced label Muggelig Records, ‘Trip Tape II’, is a product of off-kilter deep cuts and covers of Harry Styles’ commercial hit, “As It Was”, and Culture Club’s “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?”. Touching upon this new project, the band say: “In a phase of feeling pretty alienated due to events of today, and lots of devastating realities of human society, we tried to get into someone’s mind coming to earth for the first time nowadays”.
