Jonny West models hopeful pop in his new single.

Jonny West made his debut in the public sphere in surprising style – agreeing to participate in the 2020 season of American Idol, focusing on performing his own original songs. His unique artistic method led him to an impressive top three finish in the final amidst the whirlwind of a pandemic season.

He has chosen to forge his own path out of reality stardom, as exemplified within his highly successful sophomore EP, ‘The Thing About This Is’, and he’s taking the next step forwards with the release of a new collection of songs which begins with his single “Holyfield”.

It’s a polished yet vulnerable slice of pop that cruises on its smooth production and West’s inviting vocals, creating an optimistic soundscape for the listener to get truly lost in, reminding his fanbase of his power to create universally appealing lyrics.

On the song, West says, “Holyfield is a hopeful cruiser. I wrote it on the second day of January, 2022. It sort of became the mission statement for love in the new year. No expectations, but a little hope for something special never hurt anyone. I hope everyone can have their own moment while listening.”
