The iconic Torino festival returned this month for three days of sun, music and art.

Back this year at Torino’s Parco Dora for its 9th edition, Kappa Futur Festival set the standard for cultural events. Extended to three days for the first time, with a stellar lineup and record attendance (over 85,000 tickets sold), it was an all-out celebration of electronic music.
Attracting an international crowd of house and techno fans with over 105 nations in attendance, the three-day, sold-out event turned up the heat with temperatures topping over 37 degrees on Sunday. Over four stages, the lineup saw standout performances from the likes of Honey Dijon, Peggy Gou, Four Tet, The Blessed Madonna, Carl Cox, Amelie Lens, Craig Richards, Derrick Carter, Diplo, Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler.

Tapping into Torino’s famous creative scene, art was integral to the experience as a whole — from a pop-up by digital art platform Blackdove to on-site displays from artists including legendary Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani, who also shot the festival for his ongoing project, Razza Umana. Taking the lead on elevating on the festival experience, this year also saw the return of Kappa Futur Festival’s VIP experience — which included luxury perks on-site and guided tours of the city’s art galleries and museums.

Cementing its reputation as one of the most forward-thinking and progressive events out there, the two-times European Commission Patronage winning festival also returned with a Cashless Program (advanced in the form of a wristband), and brought back their TrashED Recycling Store program, which saw over 80k bottles and glasses collected by the crowd.
