SG Lewis takes us backstage for a day in the life playing at CRSSD Festival in San Diego.

Playing CRSSD Festival in San Diego on a lineup including the likes of Glass Animals, Four Tet and Gorgon City – there’s no doubt SG Lewis has come along way from his hometown of Reading.

An in-demand producer, songwriter, and DJ, SG Lewis’ music boasts a collective billion streams, with his debut album ‘Times’ reaching the #1 Dance Album spot in the UK. His atmospheric tunes seem like a perfect match for CRSSD, a festival that aims to showcase the best in electronic music with a focus on house, techno, and eclectic live acts.

Against the backdrop of Waterfront Park, SG Lewis took Notion along for the ride on the day of his festival performance. Dive in!

'Sound check in an unusually cloudy SD. Playing smoke on the water for the sound techs.'
'Having a chat with production manager James Washer about what happens to my set if it rains during the show. The answer isn't promising.'
'Back to this 2000's 'Cribs' style Airbnb for a dip and a disco nap. What it lacks in taste, it made up for in fun.'
'Remembered last minute to load my USBs for the after party. Always easier when sober.'
'Show Time! Lost a button on my shirt so there was a lot of chest action going on. Maybe even some nip.'
'Amy and Josh from Lastlings joined me on stage to perform 'All We Have' for the first time. Also the first time we had all hung out not on Zoom! Big fan of theirs, both as musicians and as people.'
'Visuals by Blair Brown, Tim Marriott & Chromatic Artefacts looking rather incredible.'
'This view never gets not-weird'
'After the show is the...'
'And after the after party is the next day. Thinking about life choices in the hot tub and contemplating a change of approach. Thanks for joining me xx'
